2. How We Use Information
We use information to create and manage your account; provide core app features (logging, routines, progress tracking); generate and personalize AI workout recommendations; sync your data across devices via cloud storage; process subscriptions and unlock Pro features; send optional notifications such as workout reminders and streak updates; improve reliability, security, and user experience; respond to support requests and enforce our Terms; and comply with legal obligations.
We do not use Apple Health data for advertising or sell Apple Health data.
3. How We Share Information
A. Service Providers (Processors)
Trusted vendors that help us operate the Service, such as Supabase (hosting, authentication, database, file storage), RevenueCat (subscription management), Anthropic or other AI providers (processing inputs to generate recommendations), and Apple (authentication, payments, notifications, HealthKit where enabled). These providers may access information only to perform services for us and are contractually required to protect it.
B. Legal and Safety Reasons
We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, or government request, or to protect rights, safety, and security of users, the public, or us.
C. Business Transfers
If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to appropriate safeguards. We do not sell your personal information.
4. AI Processing
When you use AI features, we may send relevant data to AI providers, such as workout history and exercise performance; training goals, experience level, equipment access, and injury details; and program preferences and recommendation feedback.
AI providers process this data to generate outputs for you. We configure these services for operational use and do not authorize them to use your data to train public models unless explicitly disclosed otherwise in product settings or provider terms at the time of processing.
5. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. When you delete your account, we take steps to delete or de-identify personal information, though residual copies may remain in backups for a limited period.
6. Data Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information, including encrypted transport (HTTPS/TLS), access controls, and secure cloud infrastructure. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. You use the Service at your own risk.
7. Your Choices and Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access personal information we hold about you, correct inaccurate information, delete your account and associated data, export your data (where available), object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent where processing is consent-based.
You can update profile information in the app, disable notifications in app settings and iOS Settings, disable Apple Health permissions in Apple Health / iOS Settings, delete your account in the app (where available), and contact us at hello@getjimapp.com for privacy requests. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling requests.
8. Children’s Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
9. International Data Transfers
We may process and store information in countries other than your own, including the United States and countries where our service providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.
10. California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you may have the right to know categories and specific pieces of personal information collected, request deletion of personal information, correct inaccurate personal information, and opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. To exercise rights, email hello@getjimapp.com with “California Privacy Request” in the subject line.
11. EEA/UK Residents (GDPR)
If you are in the EEA or UK, our legal bases for processing may include contract (to provide the Service you request), legitimate interests (to improve, secure, and operate the Service), consent (for optional integrations such as Apple Health and notifications where required), and legal obligation (where required by law). You may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
